Privacy policy

Panezo stores your work on your device. The current app has no developer analytics, advertising SDK or developer-operated content-upload service. Browsing connects to the websites you choose; this is not anonymous browsing.

Last page addresses, layouts, Scratch notes, saved Workspaces, Favorites, recent browsing History, Notebook notes, selected Research findings and user-written Research drafts are local. Device backups may include app data. Recovery saves user-written titles/annotations; it does not automatically save temporary extracted website findings.

Compare reads limited readable page text when requested. Form values and embedded documents are excluded by the extractor. Only selected findings explicitly saved by you are retained in Research or Notes. Sharing/export sends content to destinations you choose, under their policies.

The browser panes share website storage, including cookies and sessions. Websites receive normal browsing requests and apply their own policies. Panezo is not affiliated with visited websites.

Websites may request access to the camera, microphone, or a photo you choose. Review each iOS permission prompt. Panezo does not request these permissions on launch. Background listening uses real user-started media and depends on the website and iOS.

HTTP authentication credentials may be reused during the app session. Remember securely stores them in this device's Keychain with access while unlocked; these saved items do not sync through iCloud Keychain. Credentials are provided to the website being authenticated, not a Panezo server.

Use each note/workspace/Research record's delete action to remove it. Use Discard draft in the Research editor to remove writing recovery. Favorites & History (pane menu) deletes favorites, single history entries or all History. Clear website data removes cookies/cache/storage in both panes. Forget saved website credentials separately removes Panezo's remembered HTTP credentials and temporary cache; existing website logins may still require signing out on the website.

Deleted data may remain in older backups or exported copies. Manage those through their provider. Manage website accounts/server data through that website. Updating Panezo does not intentionally clear your data.

Android app

The Android app stores the same items only on your device: last pages, layout, Scratch notes, Notebook, saved Workspaces, favorites, history and Research. App data is excluded from cloud backup and device transfer. There is no Panezo account, analytics, ads or developer server.

A website may ask for your camera, microphone or location, or for a file. Panezo asks you first and requests the Android permission only after you allow it. That data goes to the website, not to us.

Panezo Pro is a subscription sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment and keeps the purchase record under Google's privacy policy. The app only asks Google Play on your device whether Pro is active and stores that yes/no answer locally. We never receive your payment details.

Google Play services used: Google Play Billing (subscription) and the Google Play in-app review sheet. Google Safe Browsing is enabled in the browser panes to warn about known dangerous sites.
